Biography

Audrey Kozwana is a young Johannesburg based culture preservationist, fashion model and artist who shares historical knowledge that took place and deep background stories that were last shared by our forefathers through digital curation. With content that evolves our collective consciousness culture, particularly IsiNdebele is what inspires her to connect with the roots and put the wisdom that was passed on into action.

 

Experienced Culture Ambassador with a demonstrated history of working in the society development department. With an immense love for culture instilled at a tender age, Audrey shot into the public eye when she was tasked to represent the Ndebele Kingdom by showcasing her cultural identity, language and history, and she was then crowned the first to ever win the 2017 Miss Indoni Cultural South Africa from the Ndebele Kingdom. Placing her on both national and international standards, this paved ways for her to follow through being a cultural researcher who curates digital content to portray and share the historical knowledge of AmaNdebele.

 

After being mentored by a professional culture expert Prof. Thuthukile Kabini for 4 years, Audrey was able to use her social platforms to preserve the knowledge that was taught to her and making the content accessible for the masses. With talents knowing no boundaries, this has earned her a great social media following placing her in the spaces of many brands, artists and mentors. Not only that but also a Song Of The Year 2020 win on IKwekweziFM which not only was a first for the KwaNdebele nation but was also a second hit for her musical career after working on lpumelelo with LilowNTK. She then documented an educational YouTube series about the importance and evolution of a young Ndebele maiden focusing on the appropriate costume and the breakdown of growth stages for a girl child in her culture, the series is called "Ituthuko yethelerina elijongwana" and it has accumulated over 4 million views in 4 weeks times with motivating reviews from different audiences across the globe. Scooped a nomination for Best Traditional Social Media Influencer at the South African Traditional Music Achievement Awards in 2022. Looking to do more within the arts industry, Audrey continues to soar in her digital content creation career, preserving and transporting the ancient truths of our collective past and birthing them into our future
